My sister is 20 years old a single parent and wants to go to college. She was told that she can't get federal grants or financial aid because she is on probation. Does anyone know if this is true? Any info would be helpful!

Yes you can if your grants and loans were not revoked. You would have to ask your PO if they were and if he/she doesn't know tell them to find out. There are a number of things they would revoke your grants n loans privelages for gettign in trouble but according to my PO the main one is drug related offenses.
