    Adopting Doxie Littermates
    Hi,

I just adopted two rescue Doxie puppies that are littermates. Male and Female (neutered/spayed) black-n-tan beauties, 7 months. I've heard this isn't a good idea to get littermates, but didn't have a choice... I could either have both or none. Truth or fiction? Anyone?

    Thanks, Becky :)

P.S. Adoption is the only way to go, In my opinion.

I have no idea where some of this nonsense comes from. After all, in a wolf pack, the whole litter grows up together. You don't want to breed litter mates, but you have been responsible enough to fix that problem. Enjoy your babies. Thanks for adopting them.

    Thanks for the reply.

I think I read the headline on MSN news, not sure. We've only had them two weeks and it's hysterical watching them race back and forth across the yard together and my 7 year-old mutt is starting to play with them. The 11 year-old Peke mix is still pouting and totally annoyed with the whole thing. ;)
