    Ceiling Fan Remote wiring
I have a Hunter remote fan & light control that I am trying to install. The ceiling fan was a basic unit that we added a light kit to. The wires that go from the fan to the light kit are black, white and blue. On the Hunter remote unit, there are five wires. The first two wires are live in(black) and neutral in (white). I assume they would be connected to the black and white wires. The other three are common in (white), fan out (black), and light out (red). I am thinking I would connect the common in to the white wires, the fan out to the black wires and light out to the blue wire. Any help would be appreciated.

    Your thinking appears correct.

Thank you. I forgot to mention that the blue wire is connected to the hot wire as well as the other black wire in the top of the fan housing, and then they all run down to the light fixture. So basically I would be connecting all of the black wires as well as the red wire to the hot wire in the top of the fan housing. Does that still sound right?

    No.

You connect red to blue only, fan out to fan black only, common to fan white, and the other two "in" wires connect to the two wires from the ceiling.
