    Now what do I do?
We are supposed to have a dinner date either Wednesday or Saturday.. but he had business in the area on Saturday about 25 miles away from my house. I suggested he stop by. He arrived around 8ish and stayed until midnite ( he met my mother and son), we talked mostly about him. Everything was perfect. There was a moment when I was looking down to write directions for him, and I looked back up and there was a wonderful look in his eyes.. because he had been staring at me and our eyes engaged. A hug goodbye and that was it. He mentioned that he had told his friend about me.. and I received compliments on my looks, figure and intellect. He sent an appreciation card afterwards. Now what do I do?

    Swoon?

(You probably have already done that a few times.)

You will hear from him again, methinks. Just be patient.

(Do I hear the phone ringing?)

    Wondergirl,

What do you think that he is waiting for? He is not gay.

Two days ago Saturday, or a week ago Saturday was when he came over?

Wondergirl, how can you hear her phone ringing? It's the Internet, you can't hear her phone ring online. I suggest you visit your doctor. :D

Anyway, just be patient... people can be busy sometimes. Just wait a few days and see if he calls you.

Or, you could call him. Nothing wrong with that.

Two days ago is nothing. He probably maybe undoubtedly has a life. Be patient. If he really had "that" look in his eyes, he'll be back soon. If you haven't heard from him by Thurs, call him (but have a reason in mind, like an invitation to something or a question like, "Remember you had explained string theory to me? I have another question about it.").

I would agree that you should call him Thursday. You can have a reason, but I personally wouldn't care if a girl called just to chat... so long as she's a good conversationalist.

Huno, men talk and women listen adoringly, with worshipful gazes and parted lips.

(I couldn't give you reputation, so I had to add this new response.)

What? Hmm... I'm not sure I agree. Every girl I've ever met loves to talk and have me stop and listen. No doubt there are men who love to talk about themselves, but most of those are really arrogant and egocentric.

But I still think most girls love to talk more than men. I definitely think you're probably being somewhat totally sarcastic. :D

Welcome to my life and most of the men I've known. They all love(d) to tell of their hunter-killer exploits, to talk about their car, their skill in some sport, what they did last night, etc. etc. etc.

Recent studies confirm that men talk at least as much as women, and maybe more.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Men like that really are annoying. I met one like that today after I'd finished winning the LA Marathon while discovering a cure for cancer for poor children in Ecuador, for which I received a record 20 Nobel Prizes--19 in biology, 1 in love-making.

Hey, I've worked and played and socialized with men all my long life. She shows interest; he talks.
