    Painfully Full at 23 weeks
This may be the dumbest question I will ever ask on this site.:o I am 23 weeks pregnant and I feel stuffed most all the time. I am forced to eat small meals several (4-5) times a day instead of the normal 2 or 3 meals a day. Some times I can not fit that in and I’ll eat a normal size meal. It does not sit well with me at all. It seems to stay in my stomach all day. My question- Is it normal to feel stuffed like I just ate at an “all you can eat” buffet even if I have not eaten in 2 or 3 hours?

This is VERY normal. The baby is taking up all of the space in your abdomen, making it easier for you to feel stuffed because your stomach is squished, for lack of a better word. It will become worse as the pregnancy continues.

Eat smaller meals more often throughout the day to combat this feeling of fullness.

I agree with J_9's response, but also when you're pregnant your digestive system slows down allowing your body to absorb more of the nutrients for baby. This in turn could leave you feeling full and sometimes even constipated! Good luck!

I wish I had the squished stomach problem when I was pregnant.
LOL I was hungry 24/7 - never felt full even after eating an all you can eat buffet.
It does happen to some woman though (squished stomach) and is normal.

    Good luck with your pregnancy.

I am 24 weeks pregnant with baby #4 right now and I am feeling the same way. Its from your uterous pushing on your stomach you will also start to have a hard time breathing soon from the uterus pushing on your lungs also, but also in a few months the baby will drop down to the pelvis and you will feel all the pressure gone :) Good luck and hang in there

You think it's bad now... lol. It only gets worse... Try having two and having the same problem. I was lucky I could eat at all.
