    Gaining weight before/during period
I am 12 years old and I started my period about 5 months ago and I have noticed just this period that I gained 4 pounds 2 weeks prior and during the period. Is this regular and will it go off? Or is this fat. I have been off my period for three days and nothing has happened to my weight. Will I lose it or will it stay? Hellp!!

You gain some weight during your period because you are bloated, or retaining water. It is just water weight and usually disappears with your period. :)

Exactly what I was going to input... it's probably just water retention. It will go away!

Avoid caffeine (coca cola ect) and drink more water. Sounds counter-intuative but the more water you drink the less water you retain- the body does work in funny ways...
