    2012 end of world
The maya had this belief that they could tell time using a 13 moon counting system and they said that time would end on 21 of December of 2012 now then if you believe this then please put down why you think this if you don't believe like me then put down how and why I think this is fasanating to find out who believes what. Just remember the thing about 2000 and the y2k bug

I personally don't believe this, it's just not logical but it is interesting! The mayans calendar was probably not the same as the one we use today so there numbers are probably off anyway.

This is interesting because a woman in the checkout line at one of the local grocery stores told me that, last week. Do not know why she brought it up, I did not know her, never had seen her before. She made some comment on the stories in the news lately and then said what you just posted, about 2012.

I have no reason to believe or disbelieve. However, in 1986, there was an evangelist who came to the church I was attending and stated that the tribulation would start in the year 2000 and the end would be 2007. There is still a good deal of 2007 left. Who knows for sure? Not me. The best I can do is to be prepared - as a former pastor of mine said, "to be prayed up so as to be powered up."

No one knows the day or hour of the final day, only God in heaven. Not the angels or even the son of man knows the day.

I know biblical references but anybody who claims to know the end and have been predicting an end that has never come.

As far as the calendar ending 2012. Another theory is that it is a beginning of a new age. Whatever that may bring.

Heaven, or Gods time is outside of our understanding. Would it still exist I believe it would.

Remember when talking about the end, we are talking about earth.

I think it's crap, maybe the Mayans were all wiped out before they could make "The Calendar of the World, 2nd Edition... now with more glitter"

Seriously, if they were so smart why are they dead? Think about it.

Also, every few years someone says the world will end, some people said in 2000 then 2006 (June 6th, 2006... 666) both those never happened.

Nostradamus predicted it would end in 1994 and again 1998 and he also mentionned 2012 and there was something about the year 3794 or some other really far off year. It's all just guesses.

I think you mean 5 billion (not million) years - that's when the sun's hydrogen burning cycle will reach an end, setting off a tremendous expansion in the sun's diameter, most likely incinerating the earth.
