    gastric by-pass surgery
I had gastric by-pass surgery almost 11 months ago. I have lost a total of 253 lbs between February 23, 2005 and today. I workout 3x a week with a personal trainer. My weight loss has slowed a bit, and I am left with a whole bunch of saggy skin mainly on my upper legs and arms. What kind of exercises can I do to help this? My trainer tells me that no matter how much or how hard I work my arms, I feel like I have muscles on top and flab below.

    Please help!

A lady in our office had the gastric bypass and lost a lot of weight. She had to have the flab surgically removed.

Surgical removal is the only thing that can be done. I am surprised this was not discussed with you by your surgeon prior to the gastric bypass.

Congrats on your weight loss!! Surgery is the only way to remove your excess skin. The muscles DO remember and contract again, but they can only pull in so far. Good luck with continuing to be a "loser!" LOL
