Low water pressure, on a private water well
Have a question for all you plumbing folks,

Water pressure is weak. Have some folks say that its my pressure tank and that it is full of dirt and sand from the well. Causing the low pressure or is my well pump starting to go out?

    Hope you can help

What does the pressure read at the tank? Also, is the pump switching on/off at the set points? I doubt that the tank is full of anything other than water and air. IT is possible that some sediment or rust is at the bottom of the tank, but I have never heard of a tank being filled with it.

What kind of tank do you have. If it is a bladder tank it is possible that you have lost the air pressure in the tank or the bladder has a hole in it and has lost it's ability to hold a charge to put pressure on the tank.
