I have a Murray 8.5 hp riding mower with single blade 30" cut that is 9 years old. Today the transmission seized up. I downloaded a parts manual for this particular and there is no number listed for the transaxle. Can anyone give me any tips on finding a replacement unit or repairing this one. I believe it has a DANA model 4450-1 transaxle.

Whew, If You Have A Murray That Is 9 Yrs. Old And The Trans Locked Up, Im Sure You Have Gotten Your Money Worth Out Of It, Part It Out And Buy A New Unit. Or If You Insist, Purchase A New Or Used Trans. And Good Luck. Remember If You Purchase A Used Part, It Probably Will Not Have Any Warranty.
