I need to know if this B&S can be out of time.The flywheel is keyed so I don't know how it could,but I don't know that much about it.

Jack, have you hit any stumps or rocks lately? That key can shear if you hit something solid, this allows the wheel to slip.

No,but the key was wore-out and I made another Aluminum one.

Some aluminium alloys are quite strong but most keyes are made from much harder steel. Might work for you but remember that the first one failed and it was factory. Good luck to you with the machine.

Sounds Like You Have Fixed The Problem, However, I Would Definitely Want A Factory Key. Be Sure And Torque The Nut Correctly.
