I'm trying to remember the title of a movie I saw when I was a kid. It was about this girl whose mother was sick. The girl was naturally upset, but she was a little distracted when these plush puppet Snuggles or Huggles or something cutesy like that turned up. Anyway it turned out that there was a way to save her mother--they had to go into this scary land (I want to say it was actually in the girl's closet or something) and get an apple. But the apple was protected by this evil witch who needed it to stay alive forever. And there were mirrors and glass or something all around it. I think she got the apple and brought it back and it saved her mother. If anyone can help me figure out what this movie is, I would appreciate it! :-)

Just possibly, this might be the "Hugga Bunch Movie". Judging by its popularity as a frequently-inquired-about movie on the intrawebs, I can only speculate that approximately 73 million people have seen it. I am not one of them. But your remembrances certainly match with its plot.
