    Hello ee:

He wasn't a sperm donor when you climbed in the sack with him!! Plus, he has every right any father has, even if you weren't married.

He has full rights to file for full custody and try and take the child from you if he can prove you are a unfit mother. He has full rights to ask for visitation and to have a place in the child's life. He has the right to never contact the child and try to hide from you.

Not being married has nothing to do with it what so ever, except that he will have to get a DNA test ordered to prove he is the father.

As excon said, anytime we collect donations from sperm donors in this way, we risk that person being a part of your life and your child's life forever.

He has the same rights as any other father. He may contest you for custody. He may ask for visitation. Once a court order is established, you and he are bound by it. At the very least he'll get liberal visitation unless you can prove that that would not be in the child's best interests (and that's something that's pretty hard to prove.)
