    Regarding BC pill and pregnancy
    Hi All,

I have question. I am on birth control pills. I usually take my pill on time everyday. Even if I miss one I make it a point take two the other (this doesn't happen quite oftetn though, I am regular). But just two weeks before I forgot to take the pill and had sex (no intercourse as such). And for the last one week I am not keeping well as in I feel nauseous and dizzy sometimes. I am worried could I be pregnant because I missed the pill that day even though I took two the next day. Also my period is due in next 2 weeks. Can you please let me know whether having sex on the day I missed my pill can actually get me pregnant. I knoq it might just be my worry but still..

    Thank you all in advance.

Just having sex can get you pregnant. There is no birth control that is 100% effective. Trust me I have 2 children conceived on the pill.

Now, missing a pill does make it less effective, so yes, you could possibly be pregnant. Also, by taking 2 pills in one day, that can make you sick too as you are getting way too many hormones at one time.

Unfortunately, you are now playing the waiting game. You now have to wait for your period in 2 weeks. If you get it great. If you don't well, time to take a HPT.

No birth control method is 100% effective. I am living proof of that because I got pregnant while on birth control pills. I took my pills everyday around the same time, never missing a day. In order to be safe I would recommend using two forms of birth control, such as, the pill and a condom.
I can't tell you if you are or are not pregnant. It is possible. As for me, when I got pregnant I didn't start having any symptoms until less then a week before my missed period, and the only symptom I got were sore and tender breasts, but everyone is different.
Wait until your missed period, if you miss it, and take a HPT. Until then stop thinking about it and relax. Don't stress about something you don't even know is true yet. Best of luck!

I was in your shoes. I took the pill regularly and very rarely missed a day (then I would take two the next day). I still managed to get pregnant... I'm now 6 months along. My morning sickness and stuff didn't happen until I was sbout 6 weeks along. Good luck!
