I am on a well system and have not had much water pressure in my house for some time. My well is 600ft deep and has a 2 HP pump. I have a relatively new pressure tank. My problem is that when I turn on any water outlet it nearly kills all of the pressure at any other outlet in or around the house. What can I do to resolve this pressure problem?

How much pressure does the gauge show at the pressure tank?

I have been out of town on business for a few days and am now able to get back to you on this. The pressure with no water running is around 70 and it drops to 30 immediately as you turn any water on. The pressure stays there at 30 until the water is turned off.

I would say you have a water logged pressure tank, but with the tank being new then it must surely be a bladder tank so that rules out that idea. You should have an air valve at the top of the tank, resembling the valve like you use to air up a tire. Check the pressure there. What does it read?

If the tank was waterlogged, the pump would kick on and off shooting the pressure up and down. It sounds to me like tank outlet is restricted. It could be limed up. I would pull the cross out and check it.

Good point. However, I would rather check tank settings first (can be done in five minutes) before having to take off the tank inlet. Besides, if he is checking pressure at the tank, it would not be affected by what you describe. That would happen downline from the obstruction.
