There is no ideal. You want a firewall, anti/virus and anti-spyware suite. You also want to be very carefule what sites you visit, what links you follow and what e-mail you open.

A good Tin Foil Hat and paranoid mode fully engaged works wonders.

U can't get 100% protection at all... nothing for granted wen it cumes to virus n hacking... u simply restrict yourself while surfing web sites n get d
Latest updates from internet.. they r free.. eg- for avast...
