    Lump under arm
I have been getting a reoccuring lump under my arms. I went to see a doctoe the first time. She said it was a swollen sweat gland- gave me some antibiotics. Next time it swelled up again and I went to see her again. She took a culture sample and it was normal skin cells. Dr gave me some antibiotics and it went away. A couple of months later it has come back again as a large painful bump. Is it just a swollen sweat gland or something more serious?

The fact that it goes away with the anti-biotics leads me to believe it is just a swollen sweat gland. If you are thinking cancer, it wouldn't come and go, it would just grow.

Also the fact that the culture came out normal is a good thing

Doctor's are smart, they know what they're doing. All you have to do is trust them :)

Time for a second opinion. Too many antibiotics I see going here. Could lead you to resistance.

I doubt it is cancer, but you really need a second opinion.

Do you drink coffee or any other caffeinated beverages? I've got a swollen spot under my arm that also comes and goes and seems to increase in size and tenderness when I'm drinking more coffee, alcohol, or feeling generally rundown. I've had numerous tests (mammos, CT scans, ultrasound) and nobody could give me a definitive diagnosis of what it could be. I think these underarm lumps are fairly common (my sisters both have them) and are often benign cysts or fatty tumors.
