    Clotting while pregnant
Hey, just went to the doc today and found out I was pregnant. I was on the pill and had a few clots and never thought I was pregnant, got tested and it came back positive. How common is it to bleed during pregnancy? I am scared I am having a miscarriage.. can anyone help?€ It would be greatly appreciated. As soon as possible to:P

I moved this so that you can get more appropriate answers.

I have no medical background, unfortunately, and can't really give you any reassurance. I don't think that it's UNcommon to bleed during pregnancy, but I don't know that for SURE.

I would suggest calling your doctor or an urgent care clinic. Most of the time they can ask the right questions to determine whether you should be concerned.

Bleeding in pregnancy is fairly common, although heavy bleeding is not. You will want to watch for large clots with dark red blood and gray matter. Also you want to pay attention to any cramping. If you are any bit unsure, call your doctor and they will decide whether to see you. If you do start cramping and the pain is persisitant and/or blood is heavy go to an ER.

With my first child I bled a couple of times during the first trimester. I carried him to full term and he weighed over 6 pounds/

Bright red is always cause for concern. If this is what you are experiencing you need to visit your doctor asap to make sure all is right with your pregnancy.

Every woman has different experiences, it is up to your doctor to make sure whether it is normal for you.

Red but not too heavy, but j9 is right. I had my doctor check me each time it happened. Edit. I did not clot it was just blood.

When I miscarried I experience severe, and I mean severe, cramping and very heavy clotting. I hope everything goes well for you!
