How Do I Start My Own Trucknig Company?. any Tips?. or Suggestions?

What Should I Do?

First you would have to get the finances to buy trucks. I would stay away from freightliners. You will need to establish how far you are willing to drive. If you are going to have cdl drivers or non-cdl, hazmat. How much you are going to charge per mile. If you are going to have a warehouse with a dock. A salesman to contact potential customers. Goota go it is time for me to work I will post back with more suggestions.

Do you want to own 50 trucks and hire drivers, or do you want to start with one truck that you drive.

Do you want to own dump trucks, local delivery trucks, or semi trucks.

There are companies that use owner operators,

But unless you have drove for another company, my first idea is go to work doing the type of work, learn the business and then see if it is for you.

For starter,

Write a good business plan, know what you want included in your plan. What is it going to take for you to reach this goal?
Who are your potential customers
Where is your company going to be at?
How much do you need to start your business
Have a good marketing technique that will draw customers to your business
Know your competitors is very important
Perform a survey on what cutomers want

I know all the innerworkings of a trucking company and have eveything in place but the truck and the corporation set up. If you find out what all is required let me now because I can't get the answer anywhere.
