Murray tractor mower 12hsp
Greetings,
I am working on a Murray 12 hsp tractor mower that has been virtually laid up for 7 years, and is only approx. 8 years old since the owner(my next door neighbor) died. I have change all fluids and had the carborator repaired and cleaned. I have a brand new battey replaced. And it has started and ran for at least 15 minutes on two occasions since its' minor repairs. At present, it's not even clicking on from the battery. I have a fully charged battery and am not sure how to test the electrical components from the battery to the starter? Could you provide some tips to check and how to hook up my amp meter to check say, the ignition switch ? Which setting should my amp meter be on and the like? Or since there appears on one main red wire from the ignition to the starter, how do I check the starter? Or is there a free online manual that you could refer me to for small or 12 hsp motor/mowers? I would be indebted to your services and humbly await your response
