Previously working electrical outlets stopped working
    Hi Everyone

A wall of electrical outlets in my kitchen just stopped working. They were working just fine about a month ago. I tried checking the circuit box, and turning the circuits on/off just to make sure anything that has been tripped was turned on back again. But it didn't work for the outlets. Does anybody think it could be a problem with faulty wiring & needs to be seen by a professional. Is there any way I could do it myself.

    Thanks in advance...

Yes you should call in a professional to repair,(you can get shocked, even if it appears to be dead) the electrical receptacles are wired from one to another in a line usually starting with the one closest to the breaker panel, this is where you start, with the first one that doesn't work. Normally it is a bad connection, especially if the wires push into the receptacle.Mike

A pro isn't needed if you know how to kill the power. Shut down the breaker and check that the wiring is tight. Then open the receptical and check the wires to insure they are tight. If you have a tester turn the power. The recptical can go bad but rarely, its normally a loose connection. Are there any other outlets on this circuit and do they work?
