    Yahoo Accounts
Can anyone tell me how to completely delete a Yahoo account? Email, messenger... everything! I have been trying but can't find where to do it.

    Thanks in advance. :)

Yahoo is like AIM, it can hardly be done... Do you pay for it?

If not then just change the password and be done with it...

You can ignore your account for several months and it will delete itself, or you can go about deleting it yourself.

When you terminate your account, you permanently lose all saved data and Yahoo site access associated with your ID. You'll be deleting your email account, address book, group memberships, Y!Answers account, Y!Messenger ID, any photos you've uploaded, any 360 blogs you've posted, etc. If you're sure you want to delete your account, click on this link:

    https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_use...

Yahoo will ask you to enter your password one last time and then you will click on the "Yes, terminate this account" button. Your entire account will then be completely & irretrievably deleted.

I was sick and tired of constantly getting that Yahoo messenger every time I logged onto my computer. I found a way to delete it. I am currently a Windows Vista User. I first went to the Control Panel, went to PROGRAMS & FEATURES, new window opens, click on PROGRAMS & FEATURES in the new window (this is where you would add and remove programs that don't show up under add or remove programs) You will see a list of various programs and features. Click on the AT&T Yahoo Applications link. It will give you the option of which programs within the Yahoo that you wish to remove. Check Messenger and the rest is self explanitory.

    Hope this information is helpful
