For more books to read? How old are you... I have A LOT of suggestions!
12 but I read kids teens and adult books sooo SHOOT!
Bridge to Terabithia
Widow of the South
Walk Across America
All of the Harry Potter's
These are some of my favs; I will look on my book shelve for more!
Try janet evanovich "one for the money" there are now 13 books in this series. She is really funny. If you like fantasy, try naomi novik's "temeraire" series (his majesty's dragon is title of book one). Crime stories would be Michael Connelly. A real summer challenge would be to read the entire Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles.
LOVE the Anne Rice series! Good one!
Thanks
I picked up a book at a conference two weeks ago. Its only available at special signings or Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more, Under the Liberty Oak. It was an excellent read- a mystery on the south Georgia coast, about faith and loyalty and love and keeping promises for forty years. And it had all these flashbacks to the civil rights era.Quote:

I love Meg Cabot's Size 12 is not fat and Size 14 is also not fat. They are really funny good summer reads.
Have you read The Book Thief? It's very good.
Try:
Widow of the South
Dunctan Wood
Dauthers of the Moon
Daughter of the Frorest
Eden's Atlantis
Blessings, by Anna Quindlen. A beautiful book. Made me cry.Quote:

It's about an old woman who lives on a big farm in NY. Someone leaves a newborn baby near her garage and her caretaker finds it. They try to raise the baby themselves.Quote:

Wow, sounds good to me. You should look into some of the ones I listed, like Eden's Atlantis and Daughter of the Forest.
Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen is a good one
My favorite writer, ever, is kurt vonnegut.
Ok, so you're a precocious 12 year-old girl.
The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It's the King Arthur tale told from the perspective of women. It's an amazing book that you'll probably cherish for a long time.
Love in the Time of Cholera, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It's Oprah's book club book currently (yuk). Very gushy romantic, but stunningly beautiful writing.
Those are two books that offer far more substance than the stuff you'll find in airport bookstores (Harry Potter etc).
I know Summer's over, but these are a few books that are great to read anytime:
Beauty, by Robin McKinley
Catherine, Called Birdy, by Karen Cushman
The Westing Game, by Ellen Raskin
The Nanny Diaries, by Emma McLaughlin
The Lady and the Unicorn, by Tracy Chevalier
