My son is 17
He will be 18, this sept.
He also gets SSI, for begin mildy mental retared.
SS said that he will be coming up for review, rigth before his 18 B day,
I guess this is were he has to apply, rigth, they haven't said anything other wise.
(what I want to know is, what are his chances of getting his SSI?)
He doesn't work,
He needs to learn how to work and to cope with it.
He needs like coping skills,

You're asking US to guess how the government will act?? Bwa, ha ha ha. Nobody knows that...

However, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't continue his SSI. Turning 18 doesn't make you any less disabled.
