    Programmable Thermostat
    Hi..

I have the EWC-ST-2D which I want to replace with Programmable Thermostat from Honeywell. The current list of wires are yellow, blue, red, white, green and brown. On the programmable thermostat, I have R, Y, W, G. But where does the Blue and Brown go. I do have Y2 and W2 and C. Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks
    Bye

Don't attach the blue and brown anywhere. Fold them back into the wall, and hook-up all the other wires. Test everything; heat, cool and fan modes. If they all work, then you'll be OK. The brown and blue from my experience are for additional furnace options. If you do this, let me know what happens.

I have a second thermostat to which there should be a relay from the primary thermostat. I thought the blue and brown plays a role in that. I would like to know where that should be connected.

Probably does somehow. I work strictly with the four wire system. Hopefully they will keep your question open for a while so that someone who knows what you have can answer.

Can you provide more information? What type of system do you have ? Heat pump or gas furnace? Where did the wires hook to the old thermostat? Mike
