    COnflict of Interest
An attorney represented me in a bankruptcy and now the same attorney is representing my husband in our divorce. Is that a Conflict of Interest? I was the only one that signed on with him for the bankruptcy and the bankruptcy was only in my name. The way I look at it is that I am already is client. But I may be wrong...
    Thank You

That does sound peculiar, yes, I would call it a conflict of interest. You should bring this up.

It is definitely a conflict of interest. The lawyer and his firm are barred from representing any party adverse to you without your permission.

Actually what is odd is a bankruptcy attorney doing a divorce, most stay more specialised,

But if your bankruptcy was over, and the case finished, a bankruptcy has nothing to do with a divorce, and while it may not be good, if you had not hired him for the divorce he would or should be free to represtent your husband.
