    John Deere blowing main fuse
    Hello,

I have a JD L130 lawn tractor with a Kohler Command 23 engine(23 HP). I bought this used with 300 hours on it.. It ran great for the first 2 times I mowed then it started blowing the 20 amp fuse when I turned the key on.. I found the connector for the lights melted together, snipped it off and the unit started right up.. I mowed my 2 acres and a week later tried again.. It blew the fuse.. I jiggled some wires around looking for melted wires and found nothing, but tried it again and it started right up.. But my hood was up so I killed it to lower the hood. Upon trying to restart it it blew the fuse again..

I am disabled but still hate to spend money if I can fix it myself.. Any advice?

You are going to have to look for any broken or melted wire that is causing this problem. Until you find it you will keep blowing fuses. I would concentrate on the light wire. You might find that this wire is still grounding. Good Luck
