Ok I'm just about 17 and lets just say Im not the prettiest girl around. I still have braces and I have a little bit of acne. My friends are all really pretty and always get all the guys. Im barely ever noticed unless I become kind of talkative. Is there anything I can do to just get noticed, and not by the jerk by the actual nice guys if they even exist anymore. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Beautify comes from the inside. Hold yourself with confidence and learn to love yourself for your achievements and what you do. People always find confident people attractive, people who have done something with their lives interesting. Just be yourself, be nice to others and find something you are good at.

Physical beauty always fades in the end but personality only improves. Nice guys will be attracted to your personality primarily anyway. So work on that, join clubs participate in life and enjoy yourself. A smile is always pretty.

Have fun, be fun and people will be drawn to you. Good luck I'm sure you are as pretty as all your friends - you just don't realise.

PS My brother's girlfriend had braces into her twenties and she was (and still is) a stunner. Braces can actually be rather cute so don't worry about them.

There are 2 things you can do.

1. You go out and find some real UGLY Girls and hang around them so your always going to be the best looking hehehhe. OK OK not a good idea.

2. You can stop thinking of yourself as less then your friends and show the world the special Lady inside you. Except for a few jerks that only look at the outside package guys are attracted to Girls that enjoy life. They are fun to be around. I bet if you start looking at all your own good points your going to have so many guys wanting to be around you that your only problem is going to be what ones you pass on to your friends and what ones you keep for yourself hehehe.

You are right, but being the prettiest is not always the good thing as well. Believe or not, guys are very intimidated by that, they think they will get rejected for sure!! What do you think a very pretty girl should do to get guys?

Be confident. Be yourself.
Also, a lot of people go unnoticed because of simple things like posture/body language eye contact.
Keep your head high, chin up, don't slump your shoulders, back straight, stand tall.
The guy you need will come, at the right time, the right guy. Be patient.

I know you wno't believe me at this point in your life. I went to my 25 year reunion many years ago, ( we decided not to have a 30th)

Most of those cheer leaders where fat, baggy, some married to the man pumping gas at the repair shop for the last 20 years. Then some of the girls who were considered the geeks, the nerds and more were the better beauty queens. But even so, those great guys in high school or often not the better pick a few years from now.

Im not beautiful either. But I've always been told "I like you because of the way you carry yourself."

You have to walk like you love yourself, and you don't care that you have acne and braces. Who cares. People are scared of me. But you know what, there's always a boy out there who takes time to get to know the person within, and when he does, he'll find something worth more than beauty(though you pocess it). He will notice intelligance,attitude,kindness,etc.
