    Getting Along With Each Other
It's been noted that there is in-fighting among some of the other experts on AskMeHelpDesk.com. This is not so on the Plumbing Page. We have a great bunch of experts. Labman, Flickit, Tommy, Darrell to name a few. We have no ax to grind and nothing to prove. If we disagree it's done with politeness and a explanation of why. In short we respect each other. Back-biting, one upmanship and gettingt a leg up at the other experts expense isn't practiced here. We don't get paid for this and we aren't bucking for a promotion so we don't belittle other experts. All we strive to do is to perhaps save a hardworking home owner a buck or so and to take some of the mystery out of plumbing repair. So I would like to take this opportunity, on the Forth of July, to thank the contributing experts on the Plumbing Page for being such a great bunch of guys. Thanks guys and have a wonderful Forth. That's right. Does adding a dog leg between the P trap and vent make an S trap, or do we understand the question on the vanity differently? I was hoping they would post back with more detail.

Aren't most drains about the same height? Why wouldn't the vanity makers make them to fit a standard drain?

Lavatory drains are roughed in at 18" above the floor level. We understand the question the same. Dog leg aside, the minute you add a elbo to a "P" trap you have built yourself a "S" trap. (Lay it out on paper and you'll see what I mean.) Have a great Forth. Tom
