Hello! My husband and I are thinking about buying a duplex and living on one side. The side we want to live on has 1.5 baths. However, the half bath is on the main floor and it looks as though it used to be a closet. The sink and toilet are situated so strangely, it's almost impossible to even use. There is a space between the bathroom and front door that we thought might could be used to extend the bathroom into a full bath... by tearing down the wall and adding new walls to make a bigger bathroom. What we'd love to do is add a doorway between the bathroom and bedroom next door (but the door would have to go on the right side, where the sink is). I'm just trying to figure out if all this is even possible, how easy it would be to add walls and possibly a shower, and how much money we might be looking at.. Also, if anyone has any other ideas, that would be helpful. I'm including 2 links that will take you to pictures of the half bath and the space I was referring to.
