Underage pregnancy and the father's rights
I am 26 and my girlfriend is soon to be 18 and 7 months pregnant. We are a wonderful couple however her mother disapproves of the relationship and wishes for me to have no relations with her daughter. Currently my girlfriend is forced to live in her parents home state 800 miles away. Are there any rights I have as the father of the child to see my girlfriend or at least be present at time of birth more specifically? I just really want to be there for that and she will not be 18 till shortly afterward.. any advise?

Yes, till she is 18 the parents can force her to stay at home.
You have no rights to see the girl friend, but can file in court for visitation for the baby.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because IM not entirely positive, but isn't there some clause where she is no longer considered a dependent once the baby is born... I thought I remembered hearing that somewhere...

I don't think you have any rights to her or the baby. Once the baby is born you do have rights to the baby because it is your baby also. Unfortunately until your girlfriend turns 18 her parents have control over her. But alkalineangel could be right... check into that.
