Not knowing your medical history or who you are and what has gone before, this could be a question for a OBGYN, if you haven't got one, you should have one.
I would think six years is a long time to be on birth control pills without side effects.
Sometimes it can take a long time for your body to regulate after quitting because and it can take normal couples up to a year before conceiving. Are you planning intercourse around ovulation? This is important to do!
I was on birth control for about the same time, 6 years, I went off it for 6 months before we tried to conceive. It took us about 4 months to finally conceive. Now I am 15 weeks pregnant, and my doctor has told me so far everything is fine.
You can also try Ovulation Calendar and Ovulation Chart - FertilityFriend.com to help track your cycle and see if your on a regular cycle or if it's still in flux from the hormones in the because
I have been wondering the same thing about myself. I am 26 yrs old and have never been pregnant. It is starting to be depressing because I see a lot of other women enjoying motherhood. I want a baby!Quote:

I'm really scared that I cnt have children, I had an abortion when I was 18 and now at 25 I've been trying for over a year and nothing! Its breaking my heart! I feel like I lost my only chance...
Have you been actively trying for over a year? With knowing when you most likely to ovulate?
While most couples become pregnant in the first year, many others will naturally take longer. If you have been actively trying for over a year, you could ask your doctor to do some of the more basic testing for both you and your partner. Often there is a male component that is prohibiting pregnancy.
They may suggest trying a bit longer first, or they may get started on some initial testing.
Ive been using because for 9 years. Then we tried to Trying to conceive for almost a year. Finally I got pregnant and now he's a healthy child. It takes time. Don't stress out. Good luck.
Oh and make sure you take prenatal vitamins either way your pregnant or not pregnant. Just taking it everyday while your trying to Trying to conceive.
Me and partner been trying to have a baby for about 8 months now but nothing have happen.
