    Select operating system to start?
    I have a windows XP professional OS . When I turn it on, there's a start up saying please select operating system to start. There's 2 choices to pick , it could be both WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL AND WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL. Just wondering how could I remove this startup error? Thanks

    Hi,

    Follow the simple instructions:

    - START -> SETTINGS -> CONTROL PANEL -> SYSTEM
    - Click on the ADVANCED tab
    - Under "startup and recovery" (3rd section) click SETTINGS... button
    - The top section allows you to change your boot menu options so that you can increase / decrease amount of time that the operating systems are shown and edit the startup options file manually.

    *** WARNING!: Be very careful when you edit the startup options. This will edit a file called: C:\BOOT.INI and if you get this wrong this could adversly impact your system and it won't start full stop!! You have been warned :) ***

    Regards,

    Craig Thorn.
