I just installed a new faucet in the kitchen.

It came with 2 12" supply hoses already assembled.

Unfortunately, my water supply valve's are 2" off the ground.

I bough 2 additional 12" hoses and a nipple (3'8 to 1'2) to attempt to extend them.

I've tightened the nipple as much as possible, but I'm still getting leaks at the 1'2 inch connection.

I've been without a kitchen sink for a week now, and can't figure out any other alternatives.

Also, there doesn't look like an easy way to get the hoses out of the faucet and put longer ones in, or I would have done that already.

If not compression fittings, may need to use "Teflon Tape", a thin white tape.
Pull of about 1 1/2'" of tape, wrap around nipple, the direction it turns.
Tighten.

I've been told not to use teflon on a male connect for this kind of hose. Is that true?

Teflon tape combo'd with the compound sealed the connection.

It's actually leaking where the hose meets the nut now. I can't win.

Maybe wrong coupling.

Finally Fixed... I doubled up washers, and it worked solve the leak. Maybe it's riggin', but I have a sink again, so I don't care.
