Hi, I am a beginner with motors, and my go kart which has a briggs and stratton vanguard 6.5hp motor(well a overseas copy of) which I accidentally filled with too much oil. I found out that and have got it to the correct level, but now it will only start after left overnight, and will only run until it gets warm, and then will stop and won't start again, even after cleaning out the air filter and spark plug. Any tips? I am only a beginner so you will have to explain how to fix tthanks in advance, jimmy

If you ran it overfilled there may be oil above the piston rings. Remove the plug and shine a flashlight into the spark plug hole, rotate the engine slowly until you see the piston come uip to the top. If there is oil there try to remove it with a turkey baster or small vacuum tubing.

Thanks ballengerb1, I tried that still didn't work then I took the carburator off and it was full off oil so I cleaned it out in petrol cleaned it all up now its working fine, thanks anyway
