Basement washer won't drain
I have a GE washer installed in a basement. The drain inlet is 7 ft above the floor. The specs on the washer says it will drain up to 8 ft. The water does all drain out. I called a GE service. Their repair man came and informed me that the new energy miser pumps in washers are too small to pump the water 7 ft vertically. GE says it is an installation problem and to call the store where I purchased it. I want to resolve the problem because the washer must stay in this location. ANY SOLUTIONS?
Not a plumbing solution...

... but have you considered raising the washer to get it within pump range? A plumbing solution will likely require moving the drain down nearer the floor (assuming this is possible).
