    Using Tyco Splicing Device
I need to re-route some romex 12 gauge wire in my basement ceiling. I've got a Tyco Cable Splicing Device. In the instructions, it does not show the individual wires as being stripped, but they don't fit very well if they are not stripped and I'm not sure if they would make a good contact if they weren't stripped. Do I need to strip them a bit? The info on the packaging says: ENERFLEX kit nonmetallic cable splice TYCO P/N 1116377-2

    I found your product here:

1116377-2 Product Details - Tyco Electronics

I found that you do not strip the wires, seems you open the unit, lay the wires in and then close onto the insulated wires.

The webpage all provided has all the info for this connector.

Thanks, and yes, when the cover was shut, it forced the wires down into a metal 'v' shaped notch that went through the insulation to make the contact.
