I have a question on the location of the thermosat on a 97dodge crew cab (318 , 5.2 )motor actually 96 . I seem to have all my friend stumped on this one. It's not in the normal location a few say it may be in the radiator hose itself? I have been in the thing ans under the thing and this totally has me stumped? Anyone have any ideas on this one I am at a loss. I have redone everything on her including a awesome 2 tone finish on her and I am not taking your normal 2 tone nice fade action! Anyway if anyone could give me a hand I appreciate it

If you follow the upper radiator hose you will find it. It sits between the A/c compressor and the alt. in the intake mainfold. There is two 13mm bolts you have to take out, if you don't take the compressor or alt off, it can be a real pain to clean the old gasket material off. Good luck!
