While living in NH, working at an auto repair facility, an RV pulledin and a Japanese man came into the store and tried to explain a problem on his RV. His english was as poor as my spoken Japanese. I went to the lot and was able to convey: Dochira battery no dami desu ka? Which battery is bad? Or at least close enough, he smiled and we both chuckled and went to the battery compartment. I measured his battery, it was bad, and we put a new one in and he left. Domo arigato.
