    Problems with birthcontrol and period!
OK the first month of my because I had a brown period. This month no period. My boyfriend and I had sex today and later this evening I noticed a brown spot in my underwear. But no more of this stuff when I wiped. We always use a condom and he always pulls out. Plus I take my boyfriend at the same time every night. So what does this brown spot mean? Could I be pregnant?? Please help me! Thank you so much!

If yo uwere pregnant you would get red spots, not brown.
I think its possible the hormoens from the Birthcontrol can mess up your system for a while? Also if you stress you can have a delayed period. If your fully protected then I say its probably stress, eating habbits, etc. but just to make sure take a pregnancy test. :) There a reasonable price, or if you don't trust that then going to a doctor for a more accurate test is good too.

    Hope I helped

This is a bit of misinformation. If you were pregnant you would not get any blood at all.

Now, this could be what is called breakthrough bleeding. It takes time for your body to become adjusted to birth control. This could be just and adjustment period for you.

Well no I heard when you become pregnant you get soemthign called

    "mplantation bleeding
Some women have a small amount of vaginal bleeding around 11 or 12 days after conception (close to the time you might notice a missed period). The bleeding may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of your uterus — a process that starts just six days after fertilization — but no one knows for sure.

The bleeding is very light (appearing as red spotting or pink or reddish-brown staining) and lasts only a day or two. (Let your practitioner know if you notice any bleeding or spotting, particularly if it's accompanied by pain, since this can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.) "

This is wear I got it from.
But I'm not an expert xD

    Please read these FAQs.

Implantation bleeding has not bee proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

There are a lot of women here that get brown spotting and are pregnant. Each woman is different, their bodies handle things differently. I agree with J_9. Implantation bleeding is very rare, and hasn't been absolutely proven.

Birth control can cause irregular periods for a month to several months after initially starting them. You are doing a good job by taking them regularly at the same time. If you are still concerned, buy a HPT.

Oh haha I don't know much about that impatient bleeding cause I always did hear of it.

I still think it's the pill messing the hormones.

Do you use spermicidal lubricant or latex condems by any chance. It sounds like either an allergy or feminine dryness. If it is the latter, get dome KY and see if it helps.

Also try different condoms if you use them.I am allergic to spermicidal lubricants on condoms so I stay away from them. My hubby is allergic to latex, so we use lambskin.. there are many options.

Do you get the burning after urination? Because it could also be a UTI, or even a vagnak infection. I would try out the first two options first, then if it doesn't improve, see my doctor for an antibiotic.

We do use latex condoms, trojans. It does burn when I urinate but usually only after intercourse. Although lately I have been feeling lke I have to go to the bathroom really bad and then I don't pee very much at all. Also, do you think I am pretty protected against pregnancy?? I didn't get my period this month, but I took 3 pregnant. Tests at home and they were all negative, do you think it is just due to this being my first couple a months on because?? I am the worrying type, and this does scare me...
