I have legal guardianship of my 17 year old nephew for the last two years. I live in Connecticut. His father, who originally gave him up to foster care, is starting to make decisions without my approval. For example, Bobby failed two subjects and can only take one of them in summer school. He is in his 3rd day of math class. His father called the school today and wanted them to change him to English class. The school is questioning my rights. Does he have the right to do this? What are his rights and what are my rights? I ask this because I believe I'll be having future problems as well. Thank you.
