    Double kitchen sink backup
I am a first time homeowner. I have a plumbing problem. It's a double kitchen sink-left hand side is a disposal. The disposal stopped working and then the sink started backing up, both sides. I called out a plumber and he ran a snake(I think) and then he lets me know that I have a collapsed pipe and he will be happy to seal it off and reroute it. And he can do this all for $7045. BUT.. the best part of all of this is it took him less than 15 minutes to do all of this. Now, I think I read people pretty well ( I am female, by the way!)and I think it was all a little to fast for me. So, I haven't been using the kitchen sink and now there is water (clear and appears to be clean, no odor) in both sinks. I don't know what to do.. any suggestions?? There isn't a problem in my 2 bathrooms. Please help!!

First of all get another plumber! Over seven grand to replace a lateral drain in the wall that I don't think has "collapsed" in the first place. OUTRAGEOUS! Why didn't he just ask you to finance him a month in Aruba in a first class beach side hotel? Get a new guy in and have the line snaked. Let me know what this guy says. Good luck, Tom

Go with speedball, get another plumber or even a handy man, that sounds out off this world.
