    Eviction-Sheriff
Is there anyway to stop any eviction, When the sheriff has served the writ of possession.
It was placed on my door Friday night. I like the place where I live and fell behind because of untimely car repairs. Do I have any rights at this point. Help

You have already been evicted per se and there is no back tracking, no rights at all. You missed payments, how many you didn't say, so that is legally on the landlords side of the fence.

    Hello Nikki:

I'll bet the writ of possession that was on your door tells you exactly how much time you have. I'd say, you have a day after that date at the most.

Let me see, your landlord would have given you a notice, at that point you had a chance to pay what you owed. You would have been served a notice of a eviction hearing, and at that court date you had a chance to pay or tell the judge.

So yes you had all sorts of rights, up to now, and now you have the right to move.
