Can I get out of a purchase agreement?
I placed a small deposit down (1500) and this was in March. Now I still have not closed on this pre construction condo and want out to pursue other options. My realtor (who is also working with the seller) keeps trying to keep me around but I just want out. Can I get my depsit back? If not, if I do just walk away is there any legal action they can take. I feel like four months is ample time to close on a unit that they stated I would close on in April. I was in it the other day and it actually looked like there was more work to be done than in march. Did they breach the contract by not making the unit available to close?

What does the contract say about when, is there a date for closing set in the contract.

It depends on what the contract says. If the contract stated a closing date and its well past, you should be able to void the contract and get the deposit back.
