    2nd floor stackable laundry
I want to install a combination washer dryer in a second floor bathroom. The unit can be placed next to the tub plumbing and I am wondering whether there would be any problems tapping into the hot and cold water at for the tub, and, more importantly, tapping into the tub drain. It appears that the tub connects to a trap and then travels horizontally for about two feet. I would intend on using a 30 inch pipe attached to a trap and tying in on the horizontal. Does this sound viable? Thank you

The water can be supplied by the tub with no problem but I'm afraid that discharging a washer with a powerful pump will back up into the tubs low drain. Isn't there a stack that you can install a sanitary tee on and take a trap and standpipe off from. I've drawn up a rough drawing for you to go on.
    Good luck, Tom
