I used a good quality specific deck pain in white on my deck and it was very durable. There are many brands out there, but you have to pay for a good one. I found one by asking the paint department in my local hardware store.
Did you put peimer down first? Or just paint right on top of the wood?
Christoper, I power washed it first, it was very old wood; had a coat of latex on it from previous attempt, but the exterior paint I bought held up well and just clean and repaint every summer because of how I want it to look, although anyone else would say it was okay.
