    Is it 110 or 220?
    Hi,

I had 2 outlets installed where there were once a heater and its thermostat. The light on my voltage tester is on for both, but when I plug a clock radio (110) into either new outlet, nothing happens. Is it possible that these new outlets are wired at 220 to accommodate the heater that was removed? What's a good way to verify if these outlets are 110 or 220? I never bothered to look closely at the heater when I chucked it last fall.

    Thank you!

    Tony

Testers with only lights are only for warning of voltage. The only method will be to use a volt meter of some sort.

The thermostat in one box, may have controlled power to second box. You will need to verify.
