Hampton bay light and fan switch
    Hi There,
We have a celing fan with a light with 3 dangly controls (speed, direction, light on/off) which my father recently hooked up to an electric light switch with controls for both the light and the fan speed (it is made by hampton bay and has a button for light, low, med, high and off).
Being stupid, I pressed a button, but then decided to play with the dangly chords. Now, I can't get the fan to turn on in any way whatsoever. No light, no fan, it doesn't matter if I pull the dangly chords or press the buttons. I've taken the battery out and put it back in - can anyone help me!!
My dad is coming back into town next week and he'll kill me if I haven't fixed it. Eek!

    Thanks. bripod.

Did it work before you were playing with the dangly cords?

Well then you should be able to get it to work when you find the correct settings on the chains. The light one is easy, it only has on and off. The fan one, you will have to find the highest setting.
