Is there such thing as a pre-birth paternity test?
I am 19 years old and now 8 weeks pregnant. There are two different possibilities as to who the father could be. Is there such thing as a pre-birth paternity test? Any feedback would be appreciated, Thanks!

Not really. An amniocentesis can be done, but it is rarely if ever done for paternity.

Unfortunately you have to wait until the birth.

I agree with J_9. Amino is the only way, and I don't know of anytime they use it for paternity... and trying to date it back yourself will be nearly impossible as well. I'm afraid you'll have to wait.

The risks of amniocentesis is miscarriage. So the risks are quite high for this procedure. Best advice, that was given above is that the 100 percent definitive answer of the paternity would be done after the baby is born.

Joe the risk of miscarriage in amnio is rather small. However, because of the expense, and the slight risk, they will not do it specifically for paternity.
