Look on their driver's license if you know the person and can get to it. I know mine is printed on it. Also you can do background searches (will cost you) with the person's married name and it will show up.

Have you tried asking her? My maiden name is nowhere to be found on any of my documents. If someone wants to know it, they just ask and I am happy to oblige.

My maiden name is not on my driver's license. Why can't you simply ask them?

Thanks everyone, but this person is deceased, I should have mentioned that in my question. Any other ideas?

I am trying to help out a friend who is looking for a distant relatives. She doesn't have any immediate family members left. But something like, her father's cousin's, aunt's, sister's, etc. is who she is looking for information on. (Kind of confusing)However she is deceased and she only knew her married name. She is trying to find out what her maiden name was so she can start searching for relatives down that family line. We have looked online for maiden name searches, marriage records, etc. but no luck. Is there anyway possible to find out what her maiden name was?

Have you looked on ancestry.com? There is a fee to join, but it may allow you to access documents that may have the information. Birth certificates should have the maiden name of the mother.

If You know the funeral home where she was imblamed at. They should be able to tell you. Also most people have deaths put in the newspaper. Look in the local paper if you know where she lived at. The paper usually includes the maiden name. If she owned a home you may be able to look it up or if she ever had any court dates it may be listed in the courts old cases, if not online then you could go there in person. Go to the social security website and put in her name see what you can find out from that. Good luck
